The Bootblack Brigade, the first and only national organization dedicated to the tradition of Bootblacking and Leather care is accepting applications for Members and Associate Members. Full membership is extended to those who identify as Bootblacks, with Associate Memberships available to those, while not bootblacks themselves, support the rich tradition of Bootblacking and Bootblacks.


United on a path of Honor, the Bootblack Brigade strives to support new and established Bootblacks, share the passion of Bootblacking through local, regional and international service work and to outreach to both Leather and Non-Leather folk on the tradition of caring for leather and boots. We are committed ensuring that any event that wishes to have bootblacks has access to them, and to raise awareness and funds for charitable organizations such as the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, Transgender Legal Defense Fund, and The Leather Archives and Museum, just to name a few.


The Bootblack Brigade has an Executive Board consisting of President, Membership Director and Secretary and Regional Coordinators in place for the following Regions: Great Lakes , Mid-Atlantic , South West , South East and North West . The Bootblack Brigade is currently seeking representatives for Canada, South Central and North East.

The Bootblack Brigade is proud to announce slave kassie, of Rochester, NY has been elected to the Executive Board in the capacity of Secretary. The duties of Secretary include managing the documents and minutes of all Executive Board meetings and general membership meetings and coordination of Media and Press Releases.

When asked for a comment, slave kassie stated “I’m honored and privileged to be working with an extraordinarily accomplished group of people and look forward to working to support the bootblack community at large.”

Slave kassie is the owned slave of Master Mike of Rochester, NY. She has been a bootblack for 5+ years in the Western NY Area, and has bootblacked at events such as N.E.L.A Fetish Flea and is a member of the Rochester Kink Society in Rochester, NY.

Having come into the scene in 2000, kassie has been a passionate activist in her local community, focusing on BDSM education and leather care. She has given classes on bootblacking and other BDSM related topics.

When she’s not up to her elbows in bootwax, kassie can be found in her studio crafting Kink-focused chainmaille and is a regular basket contributor to any and all who ask.

A background in politics and media, kassie approaches the secretary position with an eye on bringing awareness of the Brigade and bootblacking to the general BDSM/Leather community.

While the Bootblack Brigade full memberships are reserved for self identified bootblacks. We do have associate members as well.   These memberships are for non-bootblacks who support and have a strong place in their hearts for the art of bootblacking.

To join the Brigade as an associate member please fill out the form (here), and at the very bottom, please check associate membership.  Associate membership dues are $25 dollars a year and include a friends of Patch and discount benefits to our supporting businesses.

We understand that economic times have not been very friendly to some of us. That is why we are willing to accept full members dues in two payments over the course of their pledge period (6 months).
